Can our pets tell us anything?

For the record I have one of each, a cat and a dog.

You bought a cat and a dog just to clean your records? Now that's exploitation!!

...in my opinion / experience...

While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing.

And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism.

keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out.

No insult intended, but I don't think I 'd want to see the outcome of such a union.

Dogs can hear up to about 45000 hz, so no telling what a dog is hearing or reacting to when we play music.

All of my dogs have liked my singing, including the new puppy:

All this proves is that (a) dogs know nothing about music or what sounds good; (b) they are often much better companions than humans. No homo sapiens I'm aware of would be happy to hear me sing along with my music.

I hope that your health is steadily improving ?

Hi, Alex

Thanks for asking.

I had a clear x-ray today. That's 3 years since I was diagnosed, so I've been luckier than most, so far.

I've managed to complete several designs which I've posted on Head-Fi.

I probably wouldn't have made it this far without those dogs getting me out to walk, they reckon exercise is a big factor in preventing a relapse.

Best wishes,

Fred
