Whew... Dodged a bullet, be careful out there.

I was messing around with my Ubuntu install earlier, removing things I deemed unnecessary to the goal of playing music. one of those things was a program (package?) called Libimobiledevice, it allows Linux to talk to and manage without iTunes Apple mobile iDevices such as iPods, iPhones, iTouch, and iPad. Well, uninstalling that also uninstalls the entire Ubuntu desktop environment, as well as all the others I had installed.

My first reaction was Oh S**T. Luckily, a bit of Googling solved the problem and things are back to normal at the moment, although I still need to reinstall the other desktop environments.

Moral of the story, it is way to easy to screw up Linux, and that makes me dangerous!

No electron left behind.
