agentsmith
Some may not know this. With my dCS Debussy DAC which supports USB HID interface, I could use my DAC remote control to control iTunes. Buttons supported include "Play"/"Stop" and "FWD"/"RWD" which is quite handy. So far this only worked with iTunes. For instance Audirvana does not work. Anyone else using this USB HID features? Are there any other Mac software player that you are aware of that supports this mode? Zaphf
The Audio Research DAC8 allows this as well. I'm not sure what it can control other than iTunes, but I find it pretty handy. Link to comment

agentsmith
OK I can happily confirm that at least Audirvana works with my dCS remote control when it is the window running in the foreground. I previously tried and failed and it turned there was another program in the foreground. So my assumption is most players would work as long as it is playing in the foreground. Very handy indeed.
