Apple Music streaming bitrate 1. via Chromecast? 2. to Apple TV (not 4K)?

Question

G'day All. Greetings from Australia.

I rarely post here, but I am a regular reader for several years, and I have 2 questions I hope someone will be able to clear up for me.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s21 with the Apple Music App. The App will play at 16 bit/44kHz and 24bit/48kHz (Apple "lossless"), and Dolby Atmos over the phone and headphones (as indicated on the App display), and through my Dragonfly Red at up to 96kHz as confirmed by the various light indicators. These options are discussed here :

https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-stream-lossless-audio-hi-res-music-apple-music-android/
https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/how-to-listen-to-lossless-and-dolby-atmos-on-apple-music/

Question 1 - when I chromecast Apple Music by way of the phone to a Chromecast Dongle or Google TV (I have both) what bitrate does it stream at? 256kbps? At 16/44 CD quality? something else?

I have scoured the web and can find a few references to what others suspect is happening (streaming at the old 265kbps) but does anyone have any hard evidence of what is actually streaming?

Question 2 - what bitrate is streaming on Apple TV 4th gen (*not* 4K) on Apple Music (not by way of a phone as discussed above - just through the Apple Music app on the Apple TV).

Thanks in advance 🙂

I think they both stream at 1411kbps (CD quality) do you notice much difference compared to phone>Red>headphones?

Our beloved founder, Chris, has done some research bit rate topics.   I do not remember the exact title of his post, but look at the the home page and see if you can find his post (s).  Sorry I do not have more info for you.
