Summos server

I have been looking at a server made by the company that make the soft ware Euphony , the server is called Summos .

Does any one here use one or had one in the past , after your thoughts on if this worth buying mainly want to use this for

PGGB files which it can do very well from other forums I have read about but very little on this server they make .

appears to use an intel NUC sortof MoBo both in the streamer and in the endpoint, I do not understand why they rave about a new I2S board yet advertize 'the best way to feed your USB DAC'.  A price is missing too.

From the look of it it is nothing special you could not tinker together with available parts and pieces, a NUC is not the latest word in dynamics for an audio server but can sound quite OK. For the pinnacle of digital audio streaming look elsewhere.

Summus server and Summus endpoint are both based on Intel Nuc:

• Intel Nuc i7 for server
• Intel Nuc i3 for endpoint

The cpu are likely 8th gen Intel Nuc and they are both housed in a slightly customized Akasa Plato fanless case
