Popular Post Confused
Ah, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I must admit that I was very excited to see that a new album has been released. Reading the article got me thinking about when I first went to see them live. A quick think about who I went with and why, and I worked out that it would have been 1990. A quick check on line and I find that there is a record of the exact gig I attended, complete with photographs, amazing! http://www.rhcplivearchive.com/show/feb-11-1990-london-england-1084 This was as near as dammit 32 years ago, but I can still remember being slightly mesmerised by Flea in his nice white underpants. Although I am pleased to note that Flea has made enough money in the subsequent years to at least buy some proper clothes. I've had a listen to the new album this morning and vey much enjoyed it. I don't think it will make my top three Red Hot chili Pepper albums though. I am more of a Mother's Milk kind of guy. The new album is very good, but is kind of Red Peppers, with the Hot Chili bit having mellowed over the years. Maybe Flea is mellowing faster than I am? It looks like the UK currency has also mellowed a bit over the years also, £6 seems like rather good value. (actually, checking for inflation, this would be about £15 in today's money, which does actually seem like a bargain) Womaz, DuckToller, Josh Mound and 3 others 2 4 Windows 11 PC, Roon, HQPlayer, Focus Fidelity convolutions, iFi Zen Stream, Paul Hynes SR4, Mutec REF10, Mutec MC3+USB, Devialet 1000Pro, KEF Blade. Plus Pro-Ject Signature 12 TT for playing my 'legacy' vinyl collection. Desktop system; RME ADI-2 DAC fs, Meze Empyrean headphones. Link to comment
