HQPlayer will not run

Video files stored on a USB and played through a 4K display -Audio output via optical directly into DAC

Now ,I am attempting to employ HQPlayer to upscale the audio output -AAC from the video file via HDMI ARC tv output ,into my laptop.

Laptop windows server + ROON CORE + HQPlayer  USB out put to DAC  + ELAC Navis active speakers

So far I have failed to get any response from HQPlayer

I have also attempted to use the network and again failed.

Is this a fruitless task?

I could be wrong but AAC format is not supported by HQP
