UltraRendu - leave on or switch off?

Hi

 

As a new UltraRendu owner I find myself asking - “should I leave it powered on 24/7, or only when I’m using it”?

 

What is recommended?

I’d leave it on all the time.  It draws only about 3 watts at idle and thermal stability, equalibrium and warmth are good for sound quality. Especially for the clock oscillator inside.

But ultimately you can go either way.

 

Enjoy your new ultraRendu. It is a very fine piece and one of the best values in high performance streaming on the market. Would put it up against other fancy box brands any day of the week!

Leave it on. There is no need to turn it off as it is a low power device and was designed to be left on. Just make sure that it has an open air flow location.

Superdad, I agree with your comments, the UltraRendu has far exceeded my expectations.  A great piece of kit.
