I would like to bring this tread to your attention again.
 

Some time ago I bought all 3 group buys from Adrian to try out here at home. I do not use the supplied OM, only the SFP+ modules and supplied optical cables between my 2 EtherRegens with a very good result in terms of sound quality.

 

After some burn-in I can confirm that Adrian is spot on with his descriptions.

 

At the moment I don't know yet what my final choice will be in my installation here at home, because I want to let them play here for a longer period of time to be able to make my choice. In any case, all three are worthy of recommendation. See the descriptions in terms of SQ from Adrian in the beginning of this tread.

 

Also the AfterDark. Black River Series Constellation Network Cable Special Edition for EtherREGEN is certainly commendable. I have been using a 1 meter version for quite some time and now i even have a second one of 2 meters on order from Adrian because it suits it very well in terms of SQ

If you are trying to connect your ER’s separately (not to each other), then you will need two FMC’s (converters) or possibly a network switch with multiple fiber optic (SFP) ports (see Mikrotik switches).

 

I would recommend sticking with SFP (1Gbe) modules instead of SFP+ (10Gbe) modules given that the ER ports are 1Gbe.

 

The Finisar single mode (SM) modules are popular here on AS. Typically these have LC connectors. You typically need identical SFP modules (same part numbers) on both ends. 

The SFP+ (10Gbe) modules sounds better then the SFP (1Gbe) between two ER’s
