BOBO
have you tried to edit the bios and remove the cpu microcode patches that they`ve added to handle exploits like spectre and so on? they do tend to mess with the performance and sound quality Nenon 1 Link to comment
BOBO
I have a question regarding mobos. Are there any motherboards that have an onboard cpu that also have Optane support ? Link to comment
BOBO
do you guys do any tweaks on RAM timings, or you just run on auto ? Link to comment

For example, if you are using Xeon 4210s your RAM should be set to 2400Mhz. Also, depending on your RAM type and capability, you can try playing with (under) voltage, CAS latency, etc. but only if you know exactly what you are doing. i`ll teach you guys a trick. if you run windows, you can use software like (MSI Dragon Ball, Asus MemTweakIt) to modify each individual timing in real time and hear the differences in sound that each setting offers. Also, the changes are not permanent, all the changes that you make will get reset when you restart the pc, so if you like a certain setting, you have to modify it in the bios to stay permanent. BOBO
put on your tin foil hats boys. do you know that changing the battery on your motherboard, changes the sound? Link to comment

The KTS is the most balanced one, The Fujitsu seems to create this type of weird stage that i find interesting, and the Vartra seems to get better the more its in the system. i plan to remove the battery completely in the future, but 1st i need to export my bios and edit the file to include all the settings changes that i usually do, and then i just flash it on the mobo to replace the default one. Wouldn't that mean that you'd need to flash your bios every time you reboot? no no no. when you flash the modified bios, it will replace the default one, so even if you do a CMOS reset, the settings that you changed will remain. BOBO
i`ve noticed that alot of power supplies have that blue potentiometer for voltage adjustments. how does that work, if the PSU`s current voltage is set to 12v, can i adjust it and set it to 5? Link to comment
BOBO
ok, thank you for the info. i have another question though. if the psu outputs 5v 3amp, does it do 3amp constantly or can i use it on a device that requires 5v 1amp ? Link to comment
