I have been running a highly efficient optical bridge in my dual pc system.

FMC being modified by SOTM for power regulators and clock signal by SOTM clock board. Psu provided by UpTone. 
 

I had therefore good galvanic isolation !

 

The addition of the the etheregen to replace optical network in my system has brought a very nice sq increase. 

Working between two crappy computers 🙂 By the way the sq of my system is just gorgeous .
 

Please stop confusing us , UpTone  has a wonderful business ethics , the best I have meet so far in this hobby where there is too many greedy company.

Their products are priced so reasonably.

 

By the way I am in france and not running a business  !

I have been running my er for several weeks now with great sq results. 
 

i am ready now to experiment with power supply . I have a very nice dual rail 12v psu designed by Sean Jacobs. 
i am using one rail already to power the server side of my dual pc set up. 

I would like to use the second rail to power the er , is it ok to do like that ? 
 

The server will be connected to the er on the A side .

Yes that is ok. To power the eR and other stuff on the A-side will not defeat the isolation. It is when you power stuff on both the A-side and B-side with the same powersupply that there might be broblems if they share -0V for example on their outputs.
