Solstice380
$$$$$ but the results would, most likely, be excellent. https://audiophilestyle.com/profile/21384-solstice380/?tab=field_core_pfield_3 Link to comment
Ralf11
Well, I have two questions about ripping the wall apart (and it would have to be an interior wall or a second wall beyond the insulation of an exterior wall). 1. What measurements show significant energy resonating behind the sheetrock in the cavities formed by the studs? 2. Those things that look like perforated masonite - is that all they are? Or do they contain today's buzzword "carbon"?? It seems aimed at recording studios - which is fine. Tho maybe Chris C. would like to do this after he finds a way to deal with the giant cavity resonator formed by his open stairwell... Link to comment
photonman
I got some nice R-13 fiberglas batts behind my drywall. Not as sexy as carbon but probably performs just as well. RIG: iFi Zen Stream - Benchmark DAC3 L - LA4 - AHB2 | Paradigm Sig S6 | Cables: anything available Link to comment
photonman
Also R-30 in the ceilings. Insulating is all about holding air and not so much about the material. Carbon expensive fiberglas cheap.
