Beatles Abbey Road in 5.1, Dolby Atmos and new stereo

listening to the 2019 remastered 24/96 version via qobuz -- sounds really, really good.

 

not sure i can peel myself away to compare to the 2009 version . . .

i think @firedog described the sound accurately.  2019 version sounds very natural, great articulation between instruments, great texture of sounds -- sounds like a well-recorded contemporary album, not something 50 years old.  as was mentioned above, it is a little hotter on the high end -- definitely a bit more sizzle.
