mindnoise
Hi All, Does anyone know of a good software to convert FLAC to AIFF on a PC. I tried one but it didn't do 96/24, now I'm lost as to what to use. Thanks in advance for your help. Jay Jay Raised on TV. Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
Hi Jay - I use dBpoweramp. Works great. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
ted_b
make sure AIFF and FLAC codecs are loaded (easily found at dbpoweramp website, under codec central, cuz neither come pre-installed) and then make sure AIFF is set for the right sample rate when you convert (simple pull downs). mindnoise
Hi Ted, I took Chris' recommendation and used dBpoweramp. Works great, I notice on my version that codecs were all ready installed. I was able to convert tunes to AIFF and the files look and play fine. I didn't have to search for codec as you described. I was just wondering if I did this correctly? Thanks again, Jay Jay Raised on TV. Link to comment
ted_b
I don't remember what was installed when I bought. The website only showed wav, mps and a couple others as default..but they make changes all the time. Regardless, the other unique codecs are free and easily installable once anyone needs them... Glad all is well. "We're all bozos on this bus"....F.T.
