Ralf11
curious about the forthcoming etherREGEN... is it intended as a high priced ($3,000 level) sort of item? or much lower? is it going to be specialized for ethernet only? Link to comment
Ralf11
Thx - those are the NVE Spintronics devices? Link to comment
Ralf11
comfort relieves you from the stress of listening for a tiny decrement in SQ (and all the bad neuro-chemicals that implies) comfort relieves you from the risk of falling down deep when a cornice snaps off comfort is a safety margin jabbr 1 Link to comment
Ralf11
is the offer good if I play Placebio Domingo? Link to comment
Ralf11
1 hour ago, diecaster said: Yes, he did. All over the place. Look starting here and then throughout the thread: * * * If it is not "high-impedance leakage current", what is it? it is a leakage current thru a high-impedance - Mansr can propose a different term if he wants jabbr gave an xlnt and concise description (which should be placed in the CA Archives) my question is: how important is it likely to be - esp. given the recent ruminations from jabbr about noise levels... OTOH, it is easy to get rid of (some of) these - so just do it Link to comment
Ralf11
Yup - he may mean on the receiving side, but that is why I used the word "some" ? Link to comment
Ralf11
Thevenin's theorem - for those listening in... no 'i' ** people could post the color coded model output from the $$$ software, or just point out how to avoid / deal with leakage currents Link to comment
Ralf11
Some say the transformers on wired ethernet do not adequately reduce parasitic leakage currents, which carry noise to the DAC... It is not too hard to use optical and solve that problem ... or use WiFi as per the above post of course, it is always possible that the convertors on the DAC side inject noise into the DAC or that noise arises inside the DAC or its chip and then... there is Johnson Noise✋ Superdad 1 Link to comment
Ralf11
what DAC do you use? maybe it is impervious, while lesser ones are not...? Link to comment
Ralf11
ok, designed to be impervious - I agree it never hurts to do a few simple things to reduce EM noise do you know what GK does in his DAC? does he use opto-isolators? and/or... Link to comment
