Thank you! Just this week, I made some changes to my PC and had to Load Optimized Defaults in the BIOS. I thought I'd restored all my preferred settings, but I forgot about the memory XMP profile. So my DDR4 2800 memory was running at the base rate of 2133. I couldn't figure out why everything sounded so different! Your experience with fine tuning voltage is fascinating. PS: This is why we need good quality motherboards. When you're tuning things, the tuning system has to work properly. I once had an expensive TV with an extensive CMS (color management system) for calibration. Problem is the CMS had all the bells and whistles but didn't give consistently accurate results. This is really just as important as all the flashy features that motherboard manufacturers highlight in their marketing material. flkin and Nenon 1 1 Pareto Audio AMD 7700 Server --> Berkeley Alpha USB --> Jeff Rowland Aeris --> Jeff Rowland 625 S2 --> Focal Utopia 3 Diablos with 2 x Focal Electra SW 1000 BE subs i7-6700K/Windows 10 --> EVGA Nu Audio Card --> Focal CMS50's Link to comment
