Only MQA downloads and everyone signed up to a streaming service at 10 dollars/pounds/euros a month. No more free Spotify and access/piracy controlled by switching on strong DRM in MQA. That in fact is the goal. Think of the analogies: Student loan debt. Credit card debt. National debt. All of which earn lots of interest (i.e. effectively "free" money). Closer to home, it's your Internet subscription, your telephone subscription, your insurance subscriptions (that's what they are after all), etc. The bean-counters have it all figured out. It's just a matter of time until the process is complete. As far as the downloads go - the files that you "own" (i.e. they don't expire), I expect that will eventually be no different than the movies and TV shows you download now. That is to say, you can buy a movie that you can possess forever theoretically, but can you play it on an open-source video player? crenca, Teresa, Brinkman Ship and 1 other 1 1 2 Link to comment
