Anyone that starts out by bashing the solutions coming from Japanese companies, and he certainly couched it in terms of being a cultural thing, I have some reservations about.

 

Sony ES has for decades now produced very good sounding equipment. Same with Denon/Marantz/Sansui. AKM is well regarded for their silicon...
