New Sergeant Pepper remaster and ripping accuracy

At least some of these programs compare your rips to other consumers' rips of the same disc (and I've never seen one of them get confused in terms of ripping database with other versions of the same album).  The idea is that only two perfect rips of the huge number of bits in the file will be identical; any variation is an error.  Aside from physical defects in a disc or incorrect offset figures for your disc player hardware, variations from a perfect rip should not occur, any more than you would get typos from copying a Word file from one disc to another.

And you got no errors, so no worries.

A no error rip is fine. But as far as databases comparing rips there is an issue in that discs released in different countries or different pressings etc, can have different database numbers even if both are bit perfect rips of the "same" album, due to slightly different format of "same" release. So you could have a perfect rip that doesn't match other rips in the database.

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.

Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three BXT

Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup.
Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare.

All absolute statements about audio are false :)

In the USA I have never had that problem.  If it occurred (was not physical defects), I'd think you wouldn't have just a couple of bits out of place, but tens or hundreds of thousands of differences (44.1K per second of music).  Have you experienced this?

Computer, Audirvana -> optical Ethernet to Fitlet3 -> Fibbr Alpha Optical USB -> iFi NEO iDSD DAC -> Apollon Audio 1ET400A Mini (Purifi based) -> Vandersteen 3A Signature.

I have had the problem once or twice. The dbpoweramp people confirmed it can happen. It doesn't have to be a difference in the music itself; it can be a difference in lead in or out of disc, or in spacing of songs on the disc, even by fraction of a second.

Interesting.  The fact I haven't seen it could have to do with (1) living in the large US market; (2) I may not have ripped as many CDs as you have; or (3) it could just have been random "luck of the draw."

`I'm guessing #1 is correct; many of my CD's could be supposedly identical but sourced differently.
