ISO REGEN Listening Impressions (kicked off with some measurements)

my ISO Regen has just been delivered, thank you so much Alex 

 

it sits, powered by an LPS-1, between an Auralic Aries in Roon Ready mode and a Chord 2Qute DAC

can't give it a serious listen now but... immediate impression is way more overall "clarity".  particularly impressing in the deepest bass region

ok: yesterday I tried turning ISO Regen's GI switch off and... I'm still very happy: listening to my system just the way I do when *listening to music* I couldn't hear any difference

 

I did it because almost everything in the chain (Aries, ISO Regen, Audiophilleo SE, Chord 2Qute, all tubes pre and power amplifier) either has galvanic isolation or is powered by "isolating LPS/transformers" (Vinnie Rossi Mini PurePower-4EVR, UpTone Audio LPS-1, Audiophilleo battery, Alpha-Core BP-30) and "funny" things where happening when switching on/off my tube preamplifier (Audiophilleo's battery starting/stopping recharging and 2Qute's status light turning on/off)

one more finding after switching ISO Regen's GI off: my Aries now "remembers" again (as it used to do with the "amber" Regen) which output to use (Audiophilleo) instead of reverting to "Digital outputs", after a while nothing was playing, as it was doing with GI on

Alex... don't remember what colour ISO Regen's LED is supposed to be when working fine: red?

(it's always been hidden behind something so...  )

yup: green for first batch Regens, then amber then... red ?

thank you just got a new DAC (in signature  ) and wondering why no USB signal: guess it's because of the non 5v bus cable *after* the ISO ?
