Tidal, MQA, and the future of our digital/musical ecosystems...

. . . and others are coming to exactly he opposite conclusion. Which makes it great we all have a choice.

I have been doing some reading and it seems that perhaps the decoding of MQA is also applying some decoding filters combined with the version of the recordings being ones that may have Dynamic Range Compression applied to them (as opposed to the older versions that did not have DRM applied that I have ripped as comparisons of the same albums), so this may be why the ones I listened to so far sound worse than non MQA versions thus far???

Also, I've only listened to them via my Aurender so far and perhaps Aurrender will come out with a new update to their Conductor App that will increase the MQA unfolding capability?

Ive only listened to Rock albums so far (David Bowie, The Smiths, Wilson Picket, etc), so I will try a few Classical and Jazz albums that are less likely to have DRM and see if that makes a difference?
