wgscott
Sorry, but what is an AU plug-in? Apple's version of VST. In my case specifically, what I really want to get is player software that will permit me to use Dirac room correction (which I've already invested in) in the context of network playback. If Jriver can do this, I would saw my arm off with gratitude. Link to comment
jriver
You can hang on to your arm. We'll take a look. No promises. Jim Hillegass / JRiver Media Center / jriver.com Link to comment
SavantGarde
JRiver Media Center for Mac supports VST plugins, but not AU. Many plugins for OS X are available as VST as well as AU, but some only as AU. Maybe the Dirac plugin is available as a VST plugin for OS X? Otherwise you could try using the built-in convolver in Media Center. wgscott
They also have a VST plug-in. I never tried it. I thought it was windows-only. I will take a look. Many thanks to both of you. Link to comment
Kal Rubinson
I am using the DiracLive VST plugins with JRiver on my MacMini. However, the Mac is running Win7, not OS X, because my OS X experience with JRiver was inferior. Kal Rubinson Senior Contributing Editor, Stereophile Link to comment
wgscott
I just tried loading the VST plug-in, and I think it will do the right thing (trying it on a non-music computer at the moment so this is a bit of a crapshoot): It seems to crash Jriver waiting for my credentials, so it might be less than stable.
