Forehaven
I want to get this album, but HDTracks is a 2/96 while at ProStudio Masters, they are selling a 24/88.2. Does anyone know which is the better source? Thanks Chris Ryzen 7 2700 PC Server, NUC7CJYH w. 4G Apacer RAM as Renderer/LPS 1.2 - IsoRegen/LPS-1/.2 - Singxer SU-1/LPS1.2 - Holo Spring Level 3 DAC - LTA MicroZOTL MZ2 - Modwright KWA 150 Signature Amp - Tidal Audio Piano's. . Thanks Chris I ran the 24/96 version through Musicscope and there is nothing between 44.1kHz and 48kHz so it looks like the 24/96 version is just the 24/88.2 version is a 24/96 container. I would buy the cheaper one. Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby Edgy and dull and cut a six inch valley Through the middle of my skull Link to comment

Does anyone know which is the better source? Thanks Chris I haven't purchased yet, but I'll probably buy from Blue Coast Records. They say, Provenance: Recorded and Mixed to 96kHz, 24-bit WAV PCM. The 9624 WAV files (9624 is our shorthand for 96kHz, 24-bit encoding) are the original digital file generation received from the artist or label. The DSD and FLAC files are considered second generation and made from conversions using our Blue Coast conversion methods. 2013 MacBook Pro Retina -> {Pure Music | Audirvana} -> {Dragonfly Red v.1} -> AKG K-702 or Sennheiser HD650 headphones.
