The TT DR Meter doesn't work on vinyl. They should delete all vinyl entries from the DR database >>>

Interesting. But barring an explanation from him of why it happens, I'm not 100% convinced. Generally when I compare a vinyl rip to a digital file and the dr of the vinyl is higher, it sounds that way to me.

And that's the kicker, my music is all digital these days and I only have one vinyl rip - Metallica's Black album. Despite logic saying that it shouldn't have any more DR than the CD - it just sounds like it does????

The mandatory sorry for resurrecting..

 

Remotely related is that I bought the CD for ripping purposes only to find out I'm listening to a copy of the vinyl on CD. How on earth is that possible? Common practice?
