See this Sonos sues Denon for patent infringement | Techi.com Sure. But they can't sue Spotify. Spotify Connect is a game changer...because it puts multiroom streaming right onto the device.. Without a Sonos ZP.. And control *outside* the Sonos GUI.... If some of the other services like Pandora or even the HiRez services do a similar "connect" ...then what's stopping someone just writing an app and pulling all the control right from the iphone/ipad...?? Sonos wouldn't be needed *and* you could do Hirez where you wanted... wappinghigh
Thing is Bluesound is owned by the same crowd that owns NAD. Bluesound will do Spotify connect native. So that will sync. They are also putting Bluesound cards into some NAD AVR's and receivers... All controlled by the Bluesound app... I assume when a Bluesound enabled NAD receiver is thrown a stream via connect... It just switches on correct input and plays??? Don't know. But this is Exciting stuff for 24 bit multiroom playback!
