james45974
I have the Zaireeka recording from the Flaming Lips. It is 4 CD's that are meant to be played on 4 separate, synchronized CD players on in any other combination of 1, 2 or 3 discs. Is there a way to rip the CD's and combine them into one file to play through JRiver? Jim Link to comment
maelob
That's crazy, why the band didn't mixed together in the recording studio? Link to comment
Audio_ELF
I guess you should be able to load them all into Audacity and mix them. Or keep them as 8 tracks (4 pairs of left and right) and then you can play back and turn tracks on and off as you wish. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
PewterTA
I'd just throw them into Adobe Audition and mix them into one... that would do it. Link to comment
james45974
Thanks for the responses. I have never done any mixing, I will have to give it a try, this is a perfect opportunity! I have Audacity and Sound Forge so I guess I can experiment, should be fun. Jim Link to comment
