Haven't heard it, but I'll ask a question that risks being rhetorical: How many MFSL SACDs have disappointed you? One never knows, do one? - Fats Waller The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious. esimms86
The Island/Mercury SACD on sale new for about 18 USD on Amazon comes with outstanding reviews at SA-CD.net - Recent Additions. The stereo mix is said to be stellar and the 5.1 mix is said to be even better. It would take a lot for MFSL to top it(also likely selling for a price of approximately 30 or more USD). KDinsmore
Did they post any DR or charts on that? esimms86
No, there are just a half dozen fairly straightforward reviews of the remix/remaster without charts. Esau Link to comment
InfernoSTi
Wow, indeed. This is so much better than the 2003 SACD version. Clarity, punchy, everything is better...give it a try. John P.S. I listen via DSD rip on JRiver on a CAPS V2+ server....in case that matters. Positive emotions enhance our musical experiences. KDinsmore
I have it but yet to rip it to file(the guy I used to have do this for me won't work any more...HELP!) The CD side is good but I still like the EQ tweaked old MoFi Gold disc I own of this just as much. sshd
Haven't heard it, but I'll ask a question that risks being rhetorical: How many MFSL SACDs have disappointed you? Have you heard Pretenders 2? Not rhetorical at all. Link to comment
Boris75
Haven't heard it, but I'll ask a question that risks being rhetorical: How many MFSL SACDs have disappointed you? My answer is one: Yes, Close to the Edge. Link to comment
Robert Hutton
My answer is one: Yes, Close to the Edge. I would imagine it did, since Mofi never released a SACD of CTTE. Link to comment
Boris75
I would imagine it did, since Mofi never released a SACD of CTTE. Yes indeed, my mistake, it is not a MOFI but an Audio Fidelity SACD. So my correct answer is zero '-) Link to comment
