Russell_L
Good news: 96/24 downloads from the LSO Live label have started to appear on The Classical Shop (operated by Chandos). So far only a handful of titles are available, including Gergiev's Rachmaninoff 2 and Prokofiev Romeo & Juliet (at "2 for 1" pricing). (I've posted Audacity graphs of the latter in the Music Analysis section here.). Also included is Haitink's dynamic Beethoven Symphony cycle (curiously all the symphonies are available except for the 'Eroica'). AFAIK, the only better-than-CD-quality downloads you could get from LSO Live were via The Society of Sound, which offered them at 48/24, so this is really good news for fans of this label. mkrzych
Oh, that's superb! SoS offering 48kHz sampling to keep files relatively small, but 96kHz for a live concert sounds promising! -- Krzysztof Maj http://mkrzych.wordpress.com/ "Music is the highest form of art. It is also the most noble. It is human emotion, captured, crystallised, encased… and then passed on to others." - By Ken Ishiwata Link to comment
