So I’ve had the MA3 for a few days now, spectacular sound but having a minor issue. Using both mconnect and JPLAY for iOS, I’m experiencing frequent dropouts/skips. Never had this issue while using Lumin streamers. Is there any way to address this short of switching to a separate streamer vs using built in streamer card? (Like upgrading switch) Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just picked one up, in a word - WOW. Easily the best of the dozen or so dacs that I’ve owned over the years, regardless of topology. The digital volume control is as good or better than LEEDH, which is saying a lot. I would call a great value at full price, and a steal at anything less.

I’ve owned the T2, X1, P1 and now the T3. The T3 is the best sounding to me, must be the combination of the new processor and the 9028 (which I prefer to the 9038).

Been listening to Qobuz almost exclusively on my Lumin until I saw that software ver. 15.3 improved Spotify Connect sound quality. Been streaming Spotify all morning, and I am super impressed with the sound quality. Very close to lossless 16/44.1 when set to high quality. Bravo

I had an X1 a while back (sold it to finance the purchase of an amp), and just picked up the P1. The X1 is definitely better, but the P1 is more flexible and sounds pretty close to the X1. Also, had a T2 in the interim which is great for the price.

Looking for a network switch with a really clean SFP output to use with a Lumin player. Are there any recommended switches?

You can get an X1 for about $10K so it’s actually a $30K premium. I owned the X1 for a while (sold it to finance the purchase of an amp), and recently listened to the new Klimax DSM Organik at a store. The Linn might be slightly better, but not worth the huge price difference in my opinion. The X1 is a true giant killer.

Peter, Are there any plans to replace the X1 with another model?

Amazing scholarship!!! I was always aware of Cat’s music, but it wasn’t until I recently saw him live on his Cat’s Attic tour that the beauty and depth of his songs was revealed to me. He’s among my favorites now.

Agreed, and it’s not like one person’s opinion establishes a definitive ranking.

Wow! Great review, I’ve read similar reviews and wondered if it’s really that good. My mind tells I don’t need that, but my heart tells me I won’t miss my car. Chris if you like Aoife you should really check out Patty Griffin, such a talent.
