Thought I'd start a thread on this forum, as I see it in many other places with little to no expert analysis. Since the release of the TV app, and its replacement of the Video app on iOS, I have been unable to get Home Sharing to work with video content. I have iTunes (12.5.5) running on a mini. Home Sharing is turned on. I use an AppleTV 4th and can connect using the Computers app to this shared library no problem, see and play my mostly DVD-ripped movie collection. The TV app on iOS, however, is broken. My Shared Library shows up in the TV app, which is signed in to the proper iCloud account, but touching the name of the library on the iPad does nothing at all, and touching it on an iPhone SE brings me to a new screen and a spinning "wait" icon, but that lasts forever. Neither app can produce a list of my shared video content. Can anyone elaborate on their own experiences here?

I wonder if someone can help me with this... I have been playing music through a DAC connected to an Apple TV which streams my iTunes library - controlled from my phone using the Remote app. Suddenly I can no longer access the library through Remote. I can connect to the Apple TV but the library isn't recognized. I have reconnected the Apple TV to a TV and nothing has changed - the network is recognized, Home Sharing is on etc. On my iMac, Home Sharing is on. Any ideas?

I am setup on a wireless Mac system consisting of the following: Mac Mini using Snow Leopard; Macbook Pro using Lion; Mac Time Capsule; iPad Mini and iPod Touch. i use iTunes 11 on all. My Mac Mini is being used strictly as a music server and is connected directly to my stereo system. I use my macbook pro as my everyday computer but it also has my iTunes library on it. My music consists of uncompressed CD rips as well as hi-rez files. I have Home Sharing enabled on each computer/device. I like to keep the same library on each computer and looking for the easiest way to do this. Due to some issues I've encountered transferring files (copy and paste) through my home sharing network, I usually rip to each computer separately. This is a major inconvenience. It would be great to have a way of it automatically and wirelessly updating one computer as music files/CD's are added to the other computer much the way iCloud works. When I initially set things up, I had my iTunes library on one computer and copied the whole works over to the other using an ethernet cable connected between computers. This worked well, but I prefer not having to do that each time I add a new CD to my library. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
