    Manufacturer: Bryston
    Model: BDA-3.14
    Price $: 4195

Since Bryston began developing products for digital playback enthusiasts, one thing has been constant - separate components for streaming and D to A. That changes with our new BDA-3.14. We've merged our BDP and BDA platforms into this one new product that starts with our BDA-3 and adds a high quality streamer internally connected with I²S - the most accurate digital interconnection method currently available. Additionally, 10 other inputs are available to make the BDA-3.14 your high resolution digital hub.

After a short stint with Mac Minis in 2013, I have been with Aurender products since.  I purchased the Bryston BDA-3.14 recently.  It is my first Bryston product in 35 years in the hobby. I like the AKM 4490 and 4497 Aurender implementations. So I kinda knew what to expect.  Bryston's implementation sounds every bit as good as these products.  I would go so far to say that MM has met my expectations.  I find MM better than mConnect but not as familiar Aurender Conductor.  There are good videos on MM (about 40 min of succinct tutorials) but they pre-date Qobuz addition to MM.  The features of MM is extensive, Airplay, NAS, External drives, network broadcast from attached drives, frequent updates/feature advancement, Bryston tech support login to the machine, rock solid app stability, absolutely seamless connectivity to the web interface, etc.  These are benchmark performance leaders in many cases.  It's just not pretty?  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :-)

I love the sound of the BDA-3.14, but the user interface is less than good. Here's my full review.

Nice review Chris. I own a BDP-3 streamer and was also not a fan of MM. It just didn’t seem intuitive. I am a lifetime subscriber of Roon so I never spent much time trying to get the hang of MM. Regardless, I think Bryston stands behind their products and offers great support. Gary helped me personally when I was getting the streamer (which has a very low serial number) up and running. I think it’s great that Bryston is putting forth the effort to rewrite MM and look forward to trying it again when that happens.
