Will there be a "SACD-ripping-using-your-PS3-For Dummies?

I am very interested in trying this out. I understand that there are TWO very long threads on how to do this. I was hoping someone would be so kind as to summarize it for me and others who may want to try it. Perhaps a "what to look for" in buying a uses PS3? Buying used is the scary part of this because you spend money not knowing if it will do what you want. Also a "Do's and Don'ts" when modifying the PS3 FW? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the link. It may be a bit too deep for my taste. I know I will screw things up. I better not invest money on a used PS3 and brick it trying to do this. Thanks for the help.
