dCS Debussy and U-Clock

Recommended Posts

Dumb question alert.

Would the dCS Debussy work with a U-Clock originally designed for the Puccini? Is there any point of doing that?

In other words if they work together would the U-Clock be a step up from the Debussy's USB input?

Has anyone tried?

I could be all wrong here but I think the USB input on the U-Clock is an USB to SPDIF converter only. An asynch converter up to 96 for now.

The Debussy on the other hand is an actual USB input. Asynch and now all up to 192.

As for the clock part of the U-Clock, most reviewers agrees that It upgrade the performance of the Puccini and, I suppose, the Debussy as well.

That said, I remember reading a review from HiFi Critic (available on the dCS website) were the reviewer said the U-Clock was not always needed depending the inputs and/or between CD's and SACD's. Or something like that.

Again, I could be all wrong here as I go from memory here not actual facts...
