0 Speedskater Posted January 2 Share Posted January 2 Hopefully there is no analog signal above about 40 kilohertz! Anything higher is distortion, ringing or interference. Sometimes these high frequency problems can cause IM distortion in the audible range. But the higher frequencies carried by an AES digital interconnect cable are in the 10 to 20 megahertz range. 0 Speedskater Posted January 5 Share Posted January 5 I couldn't find the post that describes the test setup, but the chart still looks wrong. Heck in pro concert hall recording, 300 to 500 foot cables are common. In a modern interconnect system with a 200 Ohm output impedance an a 20 kOhm load.
