Recommended Posts

Fiber isolation has three Ethernet links. Two over wired Ethernet and one over fiber. These
connections all need to be working for the isolated device to be connected to the network.

1. Make sure the link LED is on for the switch or router. There should be one link LED for
each Ethernet port

2. Check both connections to the Fiber Media Converter (FMC). The LAN Link light should be
Green and blinking.

3. Check both connection on the opticalModule. The LAN Link light should be Green and

The opticalModule has two link lights. Depending on the speed of the isolated device. If it’s a
Gigabit device it the Gigabit link will be green and flashing. If it’s a 10/100 device the 10/100
link will be yellow and flashing.
