You have not heard what your M-Scaler can do if you’ve yet to hear what optical isolation can yield.  Search this site and you should be able to find my comments on this.  Note that the digital coax matters still with this - more so on the receiver side.  The optional Wireworld digital coax brings a nice upgrade over the cables Audiowise provides.  There is also an extra pair of optical cables provided so you have the flexibility to place the M-Scaler further from your DAC.
