Clipping Sound When Turning-off Audio source

Just got a pair of Focal alpha 50 evo. 
When i turned off the audio source a one clip sound was generated. Now i know i should turn off the speakers first. But I’m wondering if this one clip has affected the speakers? The sound wasn’t high in volume it was moderate.

Its likely a harmless pop sound but granted not something one likes to hear when shutting things off.

 

Maybe see if you can Mute the volume before powering the source off to see if that kills the pop or if there is a physical Vol knob, turn it all the way down. Maybe you'll get lucky.

In any multi-component setup, always power down the amp first. In this case, with active speakers, the amp is bundled in the speakers, so shut them off first. Then work backwards up the chain turning off the rest of the components. 
 

Power on from sources to preamp to amp, power off opposite order.

Or use a power sequencer, switches on sources, pre-amps, power amps and switches off in the reverse sequence with timers in between.

Reasonable price. although the power conditioning aspect is somewhat debatable. Use isolating relays instead.
