Datka
*** This is what i currently have Computer module : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/pr Intel NUC 9 Pro NUC9VXQNB Xeon 2.4GHz-5.0GHz CPU Intel Xeon E-2286M 64GiB Kingston DDR4 ECC RAM 2x 1TB of Samsung 970 NVMe M.2 SSD Intel® Optane™ SSD P1600X Series 118 GB as a 3rd NVME Some recommended trying older Intel SATA drives with SLC memory, is that still the case ? im planning on evaluating different drives including RAID Setup , Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) not sure if this processor supports VROC.... oducts/ For my Computer case , I'm thinkin on using Streacom DB4 Fanless Chassis, might have to modify it to work with Intel computer module. For Power i have not decided yet but thinking about HDPLEX 500W ? i would love to build custom power , but I don't have enough skills for that . Power will be external Any recommendations against HDPLEX ? if stock power is lets say 2 and Jcat ATX is 10 would you say HDLEX is somewhere is 6-7 ? I'm planning on trying server \ streamer solution with JCAT USB card, but from my experience 2 box solution always worked best for me. for OS I'm planning on trying Windows 2019 Server Core and Euphony Stylus to see what works best Can you recommend proper Linear power setup in case HDPLEX us not very good... My current digital setup includes <> Fidata fidata hfas1-s10 "BTW i love this server<> "Optical Rendu" < > "Optical Media Converter" running off Uptone JS1 LPS <> USB Chord Dave Exocer 1 Link to comment
Rovo
From my experience, your guestimate for the HDPLEX 500W ATX sound quality performance is quite accurate. Perhaps more a 7 than a 6. Link to comment
Datka
This with Taiko DC to DC would be ultimate setup for me, Link to comment
Datka
Can someone confirm if Plex DC ATX would work with with somethilink like that ? Space \ looks \ convivence a part , would this solution even work if this would even work . ? Link to comment
Popular Post Rovo
Combining the Pachanko Lab URLPS with a HDPLex 400W DC-ATX would be a waste of money. You really should combined it with a Taiko DC DC-ATX. OR build the ULPS yourself, it is not that difficult with the information on this site. For battery power, please look at the information on the Taiko Extreme thread on the "What's best forum". MarcelNL and Exocer 2 Link to comment
Datka
I guess I was trying to say that Pachenko with Taiko DC would be ultimate setup that totals about 6000usd “ outside of my budget” what I’m trying to understand if Plex 400 W DC would work with 24 volt battery? Total price for that should be in 1000-1200 range , but I don’t know if 1 it works and 2 if it would sound good . thanks Link to comment
MarcelNL
the specs of that Plex will tell you, if it accepts 24V on it'll work. Question is how it'll sound, just popping in a chargeable battery is not likely the best solution for sound. I somehow do not think you need to buy the Pachenko, the Taiko ATX witj an unregulated PSU is far cheaper (which is very relative) and sounds great. find you some good surplus Elco's (Kemet is the OEM for Mundorf if I'm not misstaken) some nice chokes and a good transformer, the saligny active rectifier...given you do not pay VAT the whole thing comes in at around 3000 and sounds really good.
