MoCA vs Wireless

I wasn't aware of MoCA (Ethernet over coax) when I moved to a new place last year so I went wireless with a Netgear mesh system. It works fine but I wonder if I might be better sonically off with MoCA ?

 

Anyone have any experience here?

I wondered the same thing, so I dod a MoCa hookup and it is considerably better than wifi. The sound has more weight and immediacy. It also proved better than running a long Cat7 cable 50 or so feet directly from the router.

Agreed.  It was also was faster.

There, I disagree.  I ran 65' of Cat6e and it was is better in every way.  Anyone want my MoCA stuff?

You can only get so much multiplexing over MoCA. It is fine in a pinch.

Multiplexing hasn't been a concern as it only runs to audio.

MoCA may be moot as I've finally found a Cat5 telephone cable that home runs close enough to where I need it. Connectors are on their way from Amazon, so I should have it up this weekend if the cable is good.
