How many amperes do I need as minimum to feed a SilentPC's 12V DC input?

Question

Hi,

I wanted to upgrade the stock 12V SMPS AC-DC block to a better 12V DC LPSU and am wondering what minimum current I should be looking for in that new LPSU.  The stock PSU specs as 12A.

I'm thinking of either HDPLEX 300W (10A) or PLIXIR ELITE (6A).  Please advise.

WS2019 Core Datacenter, dualPC, JPLAY Femto, AO3, Fidelizer Pro 8.8, MC2XY, IOS app.

Could you provide the SilentPC spec you plan to replace the power supply?  Current consumption is directly related to the type of PC and CPU.

It's ASUS WS C246M Pro uATX server motherboard, Intel Xeon E-2124G CPU, 8GB DDR4 ECC 2666 SDRAM.

The exact current requirement is best determined by measuring the current from start up to normal usage, but based on TDP of 71W from the CPU, I would suggest to use a power supply that has an output more than 6A.
