Popular Post Cebolla
Unlikely a mere streamer would be able to provide that sort of functionality without the assistance of specialised media server software running on a computer or NAS on the same network - after all, the Roon Core server is the device that actually does the main processing for the Roon Radio function, not its endpoints. Perhaps not as sophisticated as Roon, but certainly worth trying as an alternative, is the free very well supported (by the LMS/Squeezebox community) Logitech Media Server application. Originally conceived as the network player controller & media provider for Logitech's old Squeezebox range of streamers, it can be used to control and supply your own or online service (including Qobuz, via the Qobuz LMS plugin) music to the latest Squeezebox type (Squeezelite based) streamers, as well as AirPlay, Chromecast and UPnP/DLNA streamers via the AirPlay Bridge, Chromecast Bridge and UPnP/DLNA Bridge LMS plugins. The Don't Stop The Music & associated mixer LMS plugins should provide you with a decent stand-in for Roon Radio. Also, enable the Material Skin and Music & Artist Information LMS plugins for a more sophisticated user interface for the LMS controlled streamer on your favoured web browser. jcbenten, barbz, firedog and 3 others 1 5 We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us. -- Jo Cox Link to comment
