Asset UPnP With VLC = Yellow Triangle

Hi Guys - I'm trying to use VLC as a media renderer on my Mac to pull music from an Asset UPnP server running on a Windows 7 computer. I just want to listen to some music and not looking to get great sound at the moment. VLC can see my UPnP server, but displays a cautionary yellow triangle next to the server name Asset UPnP: UPnP (see screenshot below). I am unable to browse my music collection with the VLC interface. I can browse my music collection using PlugPlayer as a UPnP renderer on my iPad and iPhone.

 

Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks.
