For an entry level machine the Monoprice sounds really terrific. For those that can afford it, the Adnaco solution takes things to the next level. In both cases the quality of the 5 volt power supply has a huge impact. A PHD SR4T is ideal. The Adnaco runs at 10gbps and quality of the fiber and SFP+s really matters. Matt Yes, those 4 year old Romaz posts resurrected by CTU were before the contribution of the Adnaco solution with single mode fiber and SFP+s were understood. Done properly, the Adnaco solution is fantastic. One can continue to use audiophile USB cables, Sablon USB or Lush3, to connect the Adnaco endpoint to the DAC, and to gain the expected benefits of those cables as well.
