daniel1703
Dear all, I used to be into portable audio. Most of the devices I bought were mp3 players, headphone amps and head/earphones. I recently bought a pair of Audioengine 5's. However, I don't have anything good between the computer and the speakers. Can anyone recommend any threads that I can start with? Then I'll start asking some REAL questions. Link to comment
Audio_ELF
What's your budget? Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
daniel1703
hello, currently I don't have a budget as I don't know what the available choices out there are. Maybe entry level? Or something which is best in terms of price-quality? Link to comment
4est
The lists are long, and if you want some real help you ought to set a max budget at least. They start at $50, and go north of $20k. daniel1703
Ok.... let's see. I wouldn't mind forking out $150+-50 for a DAC if it's worth the money. Any recommendations in that price range? Link to comment
