While I love the album, I already have the 24/192 mono remaster and am wondering if it is really worth spending €25 (with Sublime discount, regular high res price is €40) for 2h of tons of alternate takes. What do people think? I've felt on most of these types of releases that all the bonus tracks tend to be only curiosities and I don't really listen to them after hearing them for the first time. The greatness of streaming is that you can listen and then decide if the added tracks are worth the cost of the album. With Coltrane there's always the chance that one of the discarded takes is a never released masterpiece. Qobuz is very good about supplying booklets where they exist. But only the classical labels seem to think it is necessary to provide them for download/digital purchases. Pop/Rock - almost never, even for expensive "deluxe" releases. Jazz and others - sometimes, but mostly not provided. It's just another example of the contempt the labels show for their customers. Does anyone think in this day and age that if a booklet was produced, the labels don't have a digital copy sitting handy that they could include with the package to the streaming and download sites? But a click of a button is too much for them.
