Connections with Sonore OM

my questions:

 

1) How much break in should I expect?

2) How important are the Ethernet cables on the ends?   Does use of the Ethernet pigtails reduce the importance of Audiophile Ethernet cables?

 

1.  My OM sounded really good right away but improved a bit as it settled in and the clock thermally stabilized.  I’d say that after 24 hours it’s mostly as good as it’s going to get, if I remember correctly.

2.  The Ethernet cable from OM to streamer can matter.  I haven’t experimented with the Ethernet cable on the other end.  
 

I would use something better than that pigtail that Sonore provided. Try a Cable Matters or Monoprice CAT8 and listen for yourself as these are inexpensive and can be returned if you don’t hear anything.
