  3. The Sonore forum is closed so I will ask my questions here and hope for the best. i recently inserted two Sonore OMs (both powered by iFI LPs) in the line between my Win 7 ROON Core and my ASUS Router. One end uses the Ethernet pigtail that Sonore supplied and the other connects to my PC via a 1 meter (unknown Cat rating) Ethernet cable. The fiber is 5 meters. my questions: 1) How much break in should I expect? 2) How important are the Ethernet cables on the ends? Does use of the Ethernet pigtails reduce the importance of Audiophile Ethernet cables?
  4. Chris, How do I change my account email from Yahoo to Gmail? Craig
  5. Naive question : I recently installed two Sonore Optic Modules and 15” of fiber between my Silent Win 7 PC (ROON Core) and my router. Now ROON will no longer play music to my SONOS Play 5. It shows it is playing but nothing is coming out. If I use the SONOS app, music plays fine. It seems the fiber has broken something??? I just realized the ROON core with fiber works perfectly well in my two channel system so the fiber should not be the reason it won’t send music to my SONOS Play 5. I guess the better question is: Is there any reason installing fiber would impact my ROON Core from playing music to my Play 5 or do I have a ROON/SONOS issue only?
  6. Quick question : Do the OPPO 103/105 still work to Rip SACDs with any firmware or do we have to be careful not to update? TIA
  7. The input I have received is use a minimum of 15’ of Fiber Cable. I don’t know why but perhaps it is to insure the ‘light’ is not too bright.
  8. Re-read your post, not IP address. good luck
  9. Excellent! Thanks for the clarification. You guys rock!
  10. Not arguing with an expert. I am an alchemist in this thread. i have been ripping since post 5 or 10. Never read post 4548. I am still using the process laid out early on. If it has changed, cool but I am sticking with what works. i always insert the thumb drive and then turn on my 103. Wait until the cd drawer opens then hit start on my PC. It has always worked from the first attempt. This is is an awesome capability!!!!
  11. You have to turn on the unit with the usb drive already installed.
  12. +1. I just bought a 103 and it worked great to archive SACDs. Now I am watching Netflix!
