I was reading about this this morning on the Roon forum:

Apparently, the only solution is to up/down/respample everything to a particular rate so that your DAC sees the same thing no matter what the source is.

 

Roon has fallen a bit behind being a front end to the "hi res" streaming services.  They need to implement this ASAP:
