WinServer2019 core mode, RAMDISK play, JRiver, ROON, TIDAL

Hi Everyone!

 

 

We started to work on this solution few weeks ago.

 

With this method we can switch off : all USB ports, Ethernet ports, SATA ports. 

 

For a first "look" the sound is very very good. Of course we need more tests, when it will be interesting we will post more information!

 

 

 

Some information about our setup:

 

HARDWARE: DUAL PC solution

MASTER PC:

    base: Core Audio DAIDO Reference Music Server

    8 circle analogue programming PSU

    ASUS motherboard + OCXO low phase noise masterclock

    i7 4685T 16 Gb RAM

    passive cooling Streacom FC10 case

    Optical out (FULL GALVANIC INSULATION)

 

SLAVE:

    8 circle full analogue programming PSU

    Optical Reciever (FULL GALVANIC INSULATION)

       OCXO USB card M2 USB + M2 SSD : RAMDISK

    Output: USB cable

 

(Karuna USB/SPDIF converter, Denpo DAC, Decha power amp)

 

SOFTWARE:

Win 2019 Server DATACENTER … Core Mode

Audiophile Optimizer

JPlay 6.2

ROON + TIDAL

JRiver 24 (64 bit)

Started  with unique Core Audio home screen (of course it is under development)

 

IMPORTANT:

- FULL RAMDISK playing (personalized operating system, apps) + personal settings can be saved and on restart the PC starting with the saved settings

- boot time is ca. 1:20 min

- Android remote app is under development (change the apps via wifi)

Changeable in app: JRiver or ROON with Tidal

- JPlay 6.2 running in 350Hz mode

Sorry, in the first post i wrote it badly: it isn't a dual PC... it is practically one PC in two chassis. There is an insulation between processor, motherboard, RAM and the USB Card.
