Needs Help
I live in a small town in Nebraska and need help. I have a Classe Sigma SSP MkII Preamp and a Classe Sigma Amp5. I just bought a Aurender A10. Since both have a DAC should I plug into the preamp or the amp and let the A10 use its DAC. I don't know if I stated the question correctly but please advise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Link to comment
Axiom05
Connect one of the Aurender's analog outputs into one of the analog inputs on the Classe preamp. This will let you use the DAC section of the A10. Alternatively, you can take a digital output from the A10 and connect to a digital input on the Classe preamp. This will use the DAC of the Classe. Try both and see which sounds better to you. Does the Classe SSP convert all inputs to digital? If so, is there an analog input that bypasses this A to D conversion step? JS21
Needs Help, Not sure how good the DACS are on the sigma pre mkII, but I bypass my Classe SSP-800 dacs because the A10’s are superior. Would be interested in your findings as I hear many good things about the Sigma’s 2ch performance.
